Ericsson reports Q4 sales growth, sees North America surge 54%
Ericsson reported a 2% increase in sales for Q4 2024, totaling SEK 72.9 billion, largely driven by a 54% surge in North America. Despite this quarterly growth, overall sales for the year fell by 6% to SEK 247.9 billion due to a decline in Networks sales. The company's adjusted gross margin rose significantly to 46.3%, attributed to improved supply chain efficiency and cost management. Free cash flow also improved, reaching SEK 15.8 billion for the quarter. CEO Börje Ekholm noted signs of stabilization in the Radio Access Network market, suggesting a potential recovery in Networks sales moving forward. Additionally, Ericsson proposed a higher dividend of SEK 2.85 per share for 2024, reflecting its stronger financial performance.
