Dan Houser unveils Absurdaverse multimedia project

Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games, has unveiled his new project, Absurdaverse, through his media company, Absurd Ventures. This initiative includes an original story-driven action-comedy game and several animation projects, featuring a diverse cast of characters reminiscent of those from the Grand Theft Auto series. In addition to Absurdaverse, Houser is developing two other storytelling universes: American Caper, which will start as a graphic novel, and A Better Paradise, an audio fiction series. The announcements come as fans eagerly await the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, scheduled for 2025. Absurd Ventures aims to create a multimedia universe, combining various formats to tell its stories. Houser's departure from Rockstar in 2020 has led him to explore new creative avenues, emphasizing a focus on character-driven narratives.
