Malcolm X's Family Sues FBI, CIA, NYPD

The lawsuit claims these agencies had prior knowledge of threats against Malcolm X and failed to intervene, with actions that facilitated the assassination. Key allegations include the arrest of his security detail days before the killing and the removal of police presence from the Audubon Ballroom during the attack. The suit follows the exoneration of two men previously convicted for the murder, highlighting long-standing questions about the government's role. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, representing the Shabazz family, stated that the lawsuit seeks accountability for the immense suffering caused by the agencies' inaction and purported conspiracy. The CIA, FBI, and NYPD have yet to comment on the lawsuit, which represents a significant step in seeking justice for Malcolm X's family.
