Florida Authorities Arrest Two in $15K Lottery Ticket Theft Scheme

Demarcus Jamone Bulger, a former employee at the Pak-A-Sak in Warsaw, Indiana, has been charged with two counts of theft for allegedly stealing 91 lottery tickets worth $4,520. The incidents occurred on September 18 and 24, 2024, and Bulger was confronted by management after a review of surveillance footage showed him taking tickets without paying. He reportedly returned $250 to the store before leaving. In a separate case in Monroe County, Florida, Jorge Acevedo Perez has been arrested for grand theft and conspiracy after allegedly stealing approximately $15,000 worth of lottery tickets, with a co-conspirator still at large. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has released video evidence showing the suspects exchanging tickets at a Circle K and cashing them together. Investigations into both cases are ongoing, with authorities seeking further information from the public.
