Microsoft addressed a significant outage affecting Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams, beginning early Monday. Thousands of users reported issues, primarily with Outlook, on platforms like Downdetector, with the disruption impacting regions such as the UK and the US. Microsoft acknowledged the issue on social media and began deploying a fix, which involved manual restarts of affected machines. By 2 PM, some services reportedly began returning to normal. This incident follows a series of technical issues Microsoft has faced, including a previous widespread outage in July caused by a third-party update and a DDoS attack affecting Azure services.
