Queensland Grandmother Wendy Hansen Found Dead

The case of Wendy Hansen, a 63-year-old Queensland grandmother who went missing in February 2024, has taken a tragic turn following the discovery of her remains in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, in June. Her vehicle, a 2007 Mitsubishi Pajero, was located at Geebung Railway Station on September 7, but significant personal items, including her mobile phone, remain missing. Hansen was last seen withdrawing cash from an ATM in Monto, about 170km from Bundaberg, and CCTV footage captured her driving south on the Bruce Highway shortly thereafter. Authorities are investigating her suspicious death and are seeking public assistance, particularly for dashcam footage from the time of her disappearance. Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty emphasized the unusual nature of Hansen's disappearance and the urgent need for answers. The investigation continues as police piece together her movements and the circumstances surrounding her death.
