Waldorf Astoria New York Set to Reopen in 2025

The Waldorf Astoria New York is set to reopen in spring 2025 after extensive renovations that began in 2017, with reservations opening on December 10, 2024. The historic hotel, located in Midtown Manhattan, will feature 375 reimagined rooms and suites, each exceeding 570 square feet, blending modern amenities with Art Deco accents. Renowned architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and designer Pierre-Yves Rochon have restored key historical elements, including the Grand Ballroom and lobby, while enhancing the property for contemporary travelers. The hotel will also boast a 30,000-square-foot spa, a fitness center, and an outdoor terrace, alongside a signature restaurant, Lex Yard, curated by Chef Michael Anthony. With 43,000 square feet of event space, the Waldorf Astoria aims to reaffirm its status as a premier venue in New York City. Managing Director Luigi Romaniello expressed anticipation for welcoming guests back to the iconic hotel, emphasizing its rich history and luxury.
