Juventus, Tudor Seek Decision Before Club World Cup
After leading Juventus to a Champions League qualification by securing fourth place in Serie A, interim coach Igor Tudor has expressed the need for clarity regarding his future before the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States. Although his contract includes an automatic extension clause triggered by Champions League qualification, Juventus has yet to decide whether to retain him or replace him, with former Napoli coach Antonio Conte reportedly a strong candidate for the 2025-26 season. Tudor initially appeared reluctant to coach at the Club World Cup without a confirmed future, calling it unprofessional, but later his agent clarified that Tudor will honor his commitment to lead the team in the tournament. Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has indicated the decision on Tudor’s long-term role would come after the Club World Cup, but Tudor insists it should be made before to avoid uncertainty. Tudor also emphasized the need for Juventus to make strategic signings to compete effectively next season, highlighting the importance of experience and an optimal team age average. Despite the uncertainty, Tudor remains proud of the team's achievements and committed to professionalism, while awaiting Juventus' final decision on his coaching position.
