Kodai Senga Leads Mets to Third Straight Shutout over Cardinals

Kodai Senga continued his dominant start to the season for the Mets, delivering 5⅔ scoreless innings with four strikeouts in a 3-0 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. His performance extended his scoreless streak to 19 innings and lowered his ERA to 0.79, which is currently the best in the National League and second in MLB. Senga, who missed nearly all of last season due to injuries, has shifted his approach this year by pitching to more contact rather than relying solely on strikeouts, but remains highly effective in preventing hard contact.
