Missing Saskatoon woman

The remains of 22-year-old Mackenzie Lee Trottier, who went missing in December 2020, have been found in a Saskatoon landfill after a 93-day search. The Saskatoon Police Service confirmed the identification through dental records, although the cause of death remains undetermined pending further investigation by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. A suspect in Trottier's disappearance, who had prior connections to her, died of a drug overdose in December 2023, and evidence from his electronic devices pointed investigators to the landfill.
