Newborns Found Dead in Dumpsters Fort Worth, Kerala; Suspects Detained

In two separate incidents, newborn babies were found abandoned and deceased in dumpsters in Fort Worth, Texas, and Perumbavoor, Kerala, respectively. In Fort Worth, Courtney Minor was arrested on suspicion of capital murder and abuse of a corpse after allegedly placing her live newborn in a suitcase and leaving it in a dumpster. In Perumbavoor, a couple from West Bengal, Majirul Sheik and his wife Sheela, were charged with killing their newborn daughter after her body was found near their rented home; Sheela was hospitalized and will be taken into custody after discharge, while Majirul is being questioned.
