Texas Tech, Akron, UT Tyler Post Record Fall Enrollment Increases

Several universities across the United States are reporting historic enrollment increases for the fall 2025 semester, highlighting growth in first-time college students and record-setting graduation rates. Texas Tech University announced a 12th-class-day enrollment of 42,272 students, marking a nearly 3% increase and its largest first-year class in history, with undergraduate numbers reaching 33,996 and graduate students totaling 8,276. The University of Akron also saw a 3.4% enrollment rise to 15,318 students, driven by increases in first-year, full-time students and transfers, though continuing student numbers slightly declined. The University of Texas at Tyler reported a 10.07% increase to 11,602 students, including a record graduate enrollment and significant growth in its nursing program.
