Minnesota hockey legends Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Pohl have been elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame, making history as the first American women to be inducted together. Both were standout players at the University of Minnesota and key members of the U.S. national team, with Darwitz participating in three Olympics and Wendell-Pohl in two. Darwitz, a three-time Olympian, led the Gophers to a national championship in 2005 and played in eight world championships, while Wendell-Pohl won six IIHF World Championships and was MVP in the U.S.'s first gold medal win. Their induction is part of a seven-member class that includes notable NHL players like Jeremy Roenick and Pavel Datsyuk. The ceremony will take place on November 11 in Toronto.
