Fatal Five-Car Crash Shuts Down I-93 in Medford
A five-car collision on Interstate 93 northbound near Exit 25 in Medford, Massachusetts, around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, resulted in the death of 25-year-old Fredis Seravia-Corvera. The crash involved a Toyota Camry striking several vehicles, including a Ford F350 that rolled into the woods, prompting the closure of I-93 north at Roosevelt Circle for several hours and causing significant traffic delays. Multiple agencies, including Massachusetts State Police, Medford Fire, and EMS, responded to the scene, and the Medical Examiner’s Office was called in. The identities and conditions of others involved have not been disclosed, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Unrelated accidents caused additional disruptions on highways in Nashville, Menands, and Springfield. Authorities are continuing their investigations into all incidents.
