Vincent Mulrooney Arrested for Rape at Kirkland Park

Kirkland police arrested Vincent Patrick Mulrooney, Jr., a 52-year-old Redmond man, for allegedly sexually assaulting an incapacitated woman at Juanita Beach Park on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m., and a witness's quick 911 call led to the police apprehending Mulrooney at the scene. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Mulrooney was booked into King County Jail on charges of second-degree rape and had his bail set at $200,000. The Kirkland Police Department highlighted the significant impact of sexual assault on individuals and communities and commended the witness whose actions facilitated the arrest. Police have stated the attack was not random.
