VW Labor Boss Urges CEO Blume to Relinquish Porsche Role

Cavallo emphasized that Blume cannot effectively lead Volkswagen as a 'part-time boss' while also managing Porsche, and stated that this arrangement must end promptly. The dual role has drawn criticism from investors and shareholders, especially since Porsche's listing as a separate entity in 2022, due to concerns over corporate governance and potential conflicts of interest. Porsche has reportedly begun searching for a successor to Blume, signaling a move to address these concerns. Meanwhile, Volkswagen is preparing to unveil new electric vehicle models, including the VW ID.2all, as part of its restructuring efforts.
