Two Arrests Made in Child Pornography Cases

Devon Poirier, a truck driver from St. Martinville, Louisiana, was initially charged with three counts of child pornography involving juveniles under 13 following the discovery of video files of infant abuse transmitted online. A subsequent search of Poirier's truck revealed over 30 electronic devices, leading to additional charges of 41 counts of pornography involving juveniles and three counts of unlawful deepfakes. In a separate case, Mario Calabrese in Berkeley Township was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography after a cyber-tip led to the discovery of illicit images on his Kik Messenger account. Both Poirier and Calabrese's cases highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat child exploitation through digital platforms. The investigation into Poirier's case is ongoing as officials seek to determine the source of the videos and any additional individuals involved.
