Olivia Nuzzi Withdraws Protective Order Against Ryan Lizza

Olivia Nuzzi has withdrawn her request for a protective order against Ryan Lizza, her ex-fiancé and Politico's chief Washington correspondent. Nuzzi had previously accused Lizza of blackmail and harassment following the revelation of her relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which she described as non-physical but personal. Lizza denied the allegations, calling them fabricated claims, and asserted that Nuzzi used litigation as a public relations strategy. Nuzzi's withdrawal comes ahead of a court hearing that could have exposed her claims, leading her attorney to state she no longer wished to engage in the litigation process. Nuzzi's departure from New York Magazine followed an internal review regarding her relationship with Kennedy, which was deemed a conflict of interest. Lizza is currently on leave from Politico pending an internal investigation.
