Prince George's Officer Charged with DWI in Patrol Cruiser

Prince George’s County Police Officer Simeon Daramola has been charged with driving while impaired after being found in his marked police cruiser on Fourth Street in Laurel early Saturday morning. Daramola, who was off-duty at the time, was stopped by Laurel City Police around 2:15 a.m. and issued multiple DWI-related citations. Following the incident, the Prince George’s County Police Department suspended his police powers and initiated an internal administrative investigation to determine further disciplinary actions. Daramola has been with the department since 2023, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities look into the circumstances surrounding the arrest. The department has not disclosed additional details about the case.
