Suspect Shot Dead in Police Encounter in Arizona

Russell Thomas Vinton, a 66-year-old man from Prescott, Arizona, has been reported missing after failing to show up for jury duty. He was camping in the Jacob Lake area, and his truck was later found near Lake Havasu, where police encountered a suspect, Patrick Neal Champion, who opened fire on officers. In the ensuing shootout, Champion was fatally shot by police, while the detectives sustained minor injuries from the collision and were later released from the hospital. Authorities are still searching for Vinton and his camper trailer, which is described as a white 2017 'Man Cave' travel trailer. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, led by the Bullhead City Police Department, with the detectives involved on administrative leave.
