He contrasted this with his desire to perform with the late Rick Wright, whom he praised as a gifted musician. Waters has faced backlash for his provocative statements, including comparisons of Israel to Nazi Germany, which have led to accusations of antisemitism and the cancellation of some of his shows. Gilmour's comments were supported by his wife, Polly Samson, who also criticized Waters on social media. Recently, Pink Floyd sold their music rights to Sony for approximately $400 million, further separating the band's legacy from their internal conflicts.
