Security services are anticipated to see the highest growth at 19%, while security software spending is projected to rise to $1.2 billion. Companies are focusing on real-time threat detection and incident response, with many organizations expected to consolidate their security tools into centralized platforms. Additionally, by 2028, 40% of IT service contracts are predicted to include security components, reflecting a shift towards cyber resilience strategies that prepare companies for the inevitability of cyber threats. The increasing reliance on external security providers is partly due to a shortage of skilled professionals in the field.
