Pearsall's mother reported that the bullet missed vital organs, and he was in 'good spirits' following the incident. The 17-year-old suspect, who allegedly attempted to steal Pearsall's Rolex watch, was also shot and is in custody. San Francisco Police Chief William Scott confirmed that a struggle ensued between Pearsall and the suspect, resulting in both being shot. The suspect's charges will be filed in juvenile court, and district attorney Brooke Jenkins is expected to make a decision soon.
