Denver International Airport unveils final phase of $2B Great Hall renovation

Denver International Airport (DEN) is set to complete the final phase of its Great Hall Program by 2027, with plans to modernize its Jeppesen Terminal to enhance passenger experiences and accommodate anticipated traffic increases. CEO Phil Washington announced that the renovation will feature three distinct zones: the Global Gateway for international travelers, Welcome Home Colorado for domestic arrivals, and the Living Room for a vibrant social atmosphere. The project aims to address construction fatigue among travelers while improving efficiency, as passenger traffic is expected to jump from 82.3 million to 100 million by 2027. Key highlights include a 60-foot crystal Cottonwood tree sculpture and eight new security lanes. Washington emphasized that the project is on track to be completed on time and under budget, with a total cost of approximately $1.3 billion. The airport's transformation is designed to incorporate authentic Colorado culture, ensuring a memorable experience for all passengers.
