Mora Woman Charged After Chisago County Crash
Ashlee Rose Klapperick, a 36-year-old woman from Mora, Minnesota, has been charged with six counts of criminal vehicular operation following a head-on collision that injured seven people, including five children, in Chisago County. The crash occurred on Rush Lake Trail when Klapperick's Chevrolet Cruze swerved into the lane of a Chrysler Pacifica, leaving a 4-year-old boy in critical condition with a significant brain injury. Authorities suspect Klapperick was impaired by methamphetamine use at the time, and drug paraphernalia was found in her car. She admitted to using meth days prior and marijuana the day before the incident. Klapperick, who has a history of driving-related offenses, was hospitalized for her injuries and later taken into custody. The other children involved sustained injuries ranging from bruises to fractures but are recovering.
