Michigan Gas Prices Hit 2025 High of $3.28 per Gallon

Gas prices in Michigan have reached a new high for 2025, with the average price climbing to $3.28 per gallon last week before slightly dropping to $3.23. This marks a 13-cent increase from the previous week and 21 cents higher than a month ago. Despite this increase, prices are still 32 cents lower than this time last year. AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland indicated that upward pressure on pump prices may continue due to decreasing gasoline stocks and rising oil prices. Areas like Grand Rapids are seeing some of the highest prices, while Traverse City offers lower rates at around $3.04 per gallon. Factors contributing to the price fluctuations include refinery maintenance and seasonal gasoline production changes, although a recent drop in crude oil prices could influence future gas pricing dynamics.
