Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas Knighted

Filmmaker Christopher Nolan and producer Emma Thomas were honored by King Charles III with a knighthood and damehood, respectively, at Buckingham Palace for their significant contributions to cinema. The royal ceremony recognized their recent success with the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer, which marked their first wins for Best Picture at both the Oscars and BAFTAs. Nolan described the honor as an encouragement to continue creating impactful films, expressing gratitude that the King enjoyed their work. The couple has collaborated on numerous successful projects, including Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy, and they co-founded the production company Syncopy. Nolan emphasized the importance of their partnership, which has thrived since their university days. In addition to the Nolans, Christian Horner of Red Bull Racing was also honored with a CBE for his services to motorsport.
