Flacco Throws 470 Yards in Loss
Despite a sprained AC joint, Bengals veteran Joe Flacco started and played against the Chicago Bears, throwing for a career-high 470 yards. Cincinnati lost 47–42 to the Bears when Caleb Williams threw a 58-yard game-winning touchdown. Flacco had been cleared for game action after practicing this week; Jake Browning served as the primary backup and Sean Clifford was the emergency third quarterback. Cincinnati was without key defenders Trey Hendrickson (hip) and Logan Wilson (calf), weakening their defense for the matchup. Chicago had Oren Burks (groin) active, while starters Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon remained on injured reserve and D’Andre Swift was out with a groin injury.
