Notre Dame, South Carolina Players Named FWAA Freshmen All-Americans

The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) announced its 2024 Freshman All-America Team, recognizing standout players from various colleges. Leonard Moore, a cornerback from Notre Dame, made a significant impact in his freshman season, contributing to the team's strong performance with impressive statistics including 43 tackles and 10 pass breakups. Meanwhile, three South Carolina players—quarterback LaNorris Sellers, left tackle Josiah Thompson, and edge rusher Dylan Stewart—were also honored, marking a school record for the Gamecocks. Sellers, who was named SEC Freshman of the Year, had a standout season with over 2,500 passing yards and 18 touchdowns. Thompson provided crucial protection on the offensive line, while Stewart excelled as a pass rusher with 6.5 sacks.
