Essex Council Takes Over Cottis Yard Car Park Operations

Starting April 8, learner drivers in the UK will face new regulations regarding the cancellation and rescheduling of driving tests, requiring a notice period of 10 working days instead of three. This initiative aims to reduce the backlog of test appointments, which has been exacerbated by factors such as the pandemic and industrial action. The Department for Transport is also implementing a seven-point plan, including hiring additional driving examiners. Additionally, a new law in Montana addresses issues with license plate misidentification that led to wrongful unpaid parking tickets, with changes aimed at clarifying how plates are displayed. The state is taking measures to prevent confusion caused by distinctive county designations on license plates. In Switzerland, starting July 1, 2025, learner drivers will be required to demonstrate knowledge of driver assistance systems as part of their tests, reflecting a shift in driver education.
