USAA Expands Chesapeake Presence, Plans 500 New Jobs

USAA is expanding its presence in Chesapeake, Virginia, by purchasing a nearly 200,000-square-foot office building at 1341 Crossways Blvd. This expansion will accommodate over 500 new employees and support the company's growing membership, which increased by 1 million members last year. The new facility, located just minutes from USAA's current office, will feature modern amenities including a cafeteria, fitness center, market, and a claims technical training center equipped with vehicles for hands-on learning. USAA's strong military ties in the region, with 20 nearby installations and 15,000 military personnel transitioning to civilian life annually, play a key role in its recruitment and service strategy. The company aims to continue providing exceptional service to its 14 million military members, veterans, and their families, while reinforcing its role as a top employer in the Hampton Roads area. USAA plans to complete the phased move by March 2026.
