Fatal Everett Rollover Crash Kills 1, Injures 2, Sparks Brush Fire
A single-vehicle crash on the northbound Interstate 5 41st Street off-ramp in Everett resulted in one man's death and injuries to a woman and a child. The vehicle rolled multiple times before landing on a railing, causing the engine block to separate and ignite a brush fire that burned dry grass but did not threaten nearby structures. First responders pronounced the man deceased at the scene, while the woman and child were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The crash led to the closure of the 41st Street on-ramp to I-5 and South 3rd Avenue between 41st Street and Smith Avenue. Washington State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, but no further details have been released. Firefighters quickly extinguished the brush fire sparked by the crash.
