Two Horses Killed in Southwest Philadelphia Stable Fire
A fire broke out at a horse stable on the 5800 block of Lindbergh Boulevard in Southwest Philadelphia, resulting in the death of two horses and injuries to others. The blaze, which started around 7:50 a.m., was extinguished by 8:20 a.m. The Pennsylvania SPCA and ACCT Philly were on the scene, providing care and temporary housing for the surviving animals, including horses, a pig, and a goat. Investigations are underway to determine the fire's cause and assess any potential animal cruelty or neglect. The stable was reportedly an illegal pop-up structure on city-owned property. The PSPCA has asked anyone with information about the ownership of the horses to come forward via their Animal Cruelty hotline.
