Fortner, Moren Named Coaches for Canada, USA Teams

Nell Fortner, the recently retired Georgia Tech coach and former Team USA Olympic gold medalist coach, has been named head coach of Canada's senior women's national basketball team, signaling her return to international competition and potential future matchups against the U.S. Teri Moren, Indiana's head coach and 2023 National Coach of the Year, will once again lead the USA Basketball Women's U19 National Team at the 2025 FIBA World Cup in the Czech Republic after winning gold with the U18 team. Moren brings extensive USA Basketball experience and will be supported by Notre Dame's Niele Ivey and South Florida's Jose Fernandez.
