The suspects, many of whom are confirmed gang members from the Rollin' 30s and 55 Neighborhood gangs, were apprehended following a major LAPD operation involving simultaneous search warrants in multiple cities, including Los Angeles, Carson, Hawthorne, and Inglewood. A breakthrough came earlier in the year after a vehicle pursuit led to arrests and the discovery of stolen firearms, luxury goods, fake IDs, and burglary tools, with the crew employing sophisticated methods such as surveillance cameras and signal jammers to avoid detection. Officials emphasized that these crimes were driven by greed rather than necessity and involved individuals often coming from outside the affected communities. The crew is not believed to be linked to a recent burglary spree in Encino but is connected to high-profile incidents, including a break-in at actor Brad Pitt's home. This law enforcement success is part of Mayor Karen Bass's broader public safety strategy, which has seen declines in crime rates including homicides and burglaries in Los Angeles.
