Donald A. DeCoster, 63, dies unexpectedly
David A. Vance, 63, passed away on January 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with thyroid cancer. He was a dedicated husband, father, and skilled excavation artist, known for his contagious smile and vibrant spirit. Vance was deeply involved in his family business, D&J Excavating Co, Inc., and had a passion for building street rods, participating in shows throughout the Northeast. He is survived by his wife Judith, two daughters, and several grandchildren, along with extended family members. Richard (Dick) Allen DeVany, 82, also passed away recently, remembered for his extensive career in juvenile justice and his commitment to helping at-risk youth. DeVany was a beloved family man who made significant contributions to Lewis County, Washington, during his 27 years of service.
