NC State Student Charged in Raleigh Shooting Spree
Andrew Thomas Graney, a 23-year-old anthropology student at North Carolina State University, has been charged with a series of shootings in Raleigh, North Carolina, involving at least 12 separate incidents of gunfire into vehicles and homes around Interstate 40. Graney faces multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and 11 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle or dwelling. He was arrested on Thursday near his home, and another person taken into custody at the time was later released without charges. The Raleigh Police Department continues to investigate whether more individuals were involved, with a $10,000 reward offered for information leading to further arrests. The shootings resulted in one person being injured, and residents are urged to provide any security footage that might aid the investigation. Graney is currently held without bail as the investigation is ongoing.
