Caribbean Music Awards announce 2025 nominees, set for Brooklyn

The Caribbean Music Awards will celebrate its third annual event on August 28, 2025, at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, featuring over 150 nominees across more than 40 categories. Leading the nominations are Shenseea and Masicka, each with seven nods, followed by Patrice Roberts and Kes with six, and several other prominent artists with five or four nominations. The event highlights the diversity of Caribbean music, including genres like Soca, Dancehall, and Reggae, and reflects the cultural richness of the Caribbean community. This year introduces seven new categories, such as Reggae Collaboration of the Year and International DJ of the Year (Female), showcasing the evolving landscape of Caribbean music. Voting for the awards opened on April 9 and will close on May 31, allowing fans to support their favorite artists. The awards aim to not only recognize musical talent but also celebrate Caribbean identity on a global stage.
