Animated Stranger Things Set in 1985 Announced

Netflix has announced 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85,' an animated spin-off executive produced by the Duffer brothers, Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and animated by Eric Robles' Flying Bark Productions. The series is set in 1985, the year of Hawkins' Starcourt Mall events, and is expected to debut near the end of 2025. It may explore untold stories and gaps between the original live-action seasons, potentially in an anthology or episodic format. A first look at the show will be presented at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The Duffer brothers described the project as a realization of their dream to create a Stranger Things show inspired by Saturday morning cartoons.
