Palo Alto Police Investigate Sexual Assault Case

In separate incidents, two women were reported victims of sexual assaults while waiting for buses in Ipswich and Palo Alto. In Ipswich, a woman in her 30s was assaulted at a bus stop early Sunday morning, and local police are urging anyone with information or footage from the area to come forward as they investigate the crime. Meanwhile, in Palo Alto, a woman also in her 30s reported being assaulted on November 4 after a man lured her to a secluded area under the pretense of needing translation help, where he threatened her with a knife before fleeing. The Palo Alto suspect is described as a slender Black man in his 30s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and cargo pants. Police in both cases are actively investigating and asking for public assistance in identifying the suspects. Increased police presence has been noted in the Ipswich area for community reassurance.
