Small Plane Crashes into Fullerton Building

A tragic plane crash in Fullerton, California, resulted in two fatalities and 18 injuries when a small aircraft crashed into the roof of a furniture manufacturing building, Michael Nicholas Designs, shortly after taking off from Fullerton Municipal Airport. The crash occurred less than two minutes into the flight, with the pilot attempting to return for an emergency landing, though the cause of the incident remains unclear. Eyewitness security footage captured the plane tilted and on fire as it struck the building, leading to a significant explosion and smoke. Emergency responders quickly arrived to battle the blaze and evacuate surrounding businesses, with ten individuals hospitalized and eight treated on-site. The Federal Aviation Administration identified the plane as a single-engine Van’s RV-10. Fullerton, located near Disneyland, is home to about 140,000 residents and features a single runway airport.
