McKay Madsen Commits to BYU Football
McKay Madsen, a two-way star athlete from Clovis North High School in California, announced his commitment to BYU during the Navy All-American Bowl. Madsen, a 4-star recruit, chose the Cougars over Oregon and UCLA, citing the genuine love and culture at BYU as significant factors in his decision. He had an impressive senior season, recording over 1,200 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns as a running back, while also excelling defensively with 49 tackles and four interceptions. Madsen is projected to play linebacker at the collegiate level but has also received offers as a running back. He plans to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before enrolling at BYU in 2027. Madsen is currently ranked as the highest-rated recruit in BYU's 2025 class.
