IU Indianapolis Marks First Year with Major Growth, New Research, Infrastructure

Indiana University Indianapolis marked its first anniversary since splitting from Purdue University on July 1, 2024, establishing its own distinct identity focused on growth, innovation, and community impact. Alongside IU Indianapolis’ growth, Indiana University Bloomington announced plans to suspend or eliminate over 100 academic programs statewide as part of a $100 million budget realignment affecting higher education across Indiana.
