Walton Goggins Joins Amber Midthunder in Painter

Walton Goggins has joined Amber Midthunder in Painter, a Derek Kolstad‑written action thriller in which Midthunder plays a woman trained from childhood who must use her skills to rescue her kidnapped father, a role Goggins will play. The film is the feature directing debut of veteran stunt coordinator Garrett Warren and was acquired by 20th Century Studios with James Cameron attached as an executive producer and J.R. Young overseeing the project for the studio. Producers include Drew Simon and Sam Speiser’s Infrared Pictures alongside Kolstad and his manager Josh Adler. Alan Ritchson was originally set to play the father but exited the project due to scheduling conflicts. Midthunder is building on her breakout in Prey and other recent projects while Goggins continues a busy slate of TV and film work. Painter does not yet have a release date.
