Ruoning Yin Wins LPGA Buick Shanghai

Ruoning Yin secured her first LPGA tour victory at home by winning the Buick LPGA Shanghai with a final round of 64, finishing at 25-under par. The 22-year-old golfer, who started the day one stroke behind Japan's Mao Saigo, made a remarkable comeback by scoring birdies on five of the last six holes. Saigo, who finished with a one-under 71, shared second place with South Korea's Sei Young Kim, both concluding at 19-under. Yin expressed her joy at winning in front of a supportive hometown crowd, stating, "This tournament really means a lot to me." With this victory, Yin has now achieved four LPGA wins, including a major title. Notably, top players Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko were absent from the tournament.
