A 40-year-old man from Dearborn, Michigan, died after losing control of his electric bicycle and crashing into a utility pole at the intersection of Schaefer Road and Colson Street on New Year's Eve morning. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. Despite emergency personnel performing CPR and transporting him to a hospital, the man succumbed to his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet or protective gear at the time of the crash. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office is working with police to determine the exact cause of death, and the man's identity is being withheld pending family notification.
