The injury occurred when he attempted to throw the ball while being pressured by Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, leading to an awkward fall where Smith grabbed his ankle in frustration. Backup quarterback Sam Howell replaced Smith, marking only his second appearance this season. Smith was performing well before the injury, completing 15 of 19 passes for 149 yards and an interception. Following the incident, he was seen walking off the field with training staff, visibly upset and slamming his helmet. The Seahawks will face the Minnesota Vikings in their next game.
