The incident occurred as two other parachutists landed safely, but Trouillet's parachute snagged on the awning, leaving him suspended over 30 meters above the ground. Emergency measures, including the use of tackle shields, inflatable mats, and a fire engine with a cherry picker, were implemented to ensure his safe rescue. The spectators, who had been cleared from the area, cheered as firefighters successfully freed him. Despite the dramatic delay, the match proceeded with Toulouse ultimately winning 38-15. Trouillet, unharmed but shaken, expressed gratitude to the emergency responders and the supportive crowd.
