Two Fatal Vehicle Incidents in Greensboro

In Greensboro, N.C., two separate tragic incidents involving vehicle collisions have resulted in fatalities. In the first incident, a 47-year-old woman named Misty Dawn Gibbons was struck and killed by two vehicles while attempting to cross Interstate 40, with no impairment suspected in the drivers involved. The second incident involved a wrong-way crash on East Gate City Boulevard, where 62-year-old Marcia Love died from injuries after colliding head-on with another vehicle; impairment is suspected to be a factor in this crash. Both drivers involved in the latter incident were hospitalized, though the driver of the other vehicle sustained only minor injuries and faces no charges. The Greensboro Police Department continues to investigate both accidents and is seeking further information from the public.
