Two Minors Arrested for Car Thefts in Colorado Springs

Two minors, aged 15 and 12, have been arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) for their involvement in several car thefts in Colorado Springs. The investigation by the Strategic Investigations Unit (SIU) began in September, leading to arrest warrants issued in early November. The 15-year-old faces one count of motor vehicle theft, while the 12-year-old faces two counts. The older boy was booked into the Zeb Pike Juvenile Detention facility, and the younger was released to a family member. These arrests are part of a broader trend of juvenile crime in the area, following incidents involving other minors in recent months. Due to their ages, the identities of the suspects have not been disclosed.
